The Valuable Opportunity Inspiring Collaborations to Elevate Soulciety (the Soul of Society) through Radio.
In 2015, V.O.I.C.E.S Radio came to life as a show on WUTU 88.3 FM a Community Radio Station based in Albany, Georgia.
V.O.I.C.E.S was developed by Joffe' "Nexus" Wright to engage communities in dialogue that will invoke a transformation in ones thought process to empower and awaken action. At the same time exposing them to resources and businesses that represent and support the growth and development of Soulciety. These dialogues are focused on issues that impact our communities. Topics include current events and their connection to past events, health & wellness, economics, as well as, cultural and spiritual perspectives. Hence, a holistic approach to healing our community through healthy dialogue. Overstanding the importance of both male and female perspectives, until 2019 Christopher "Chris" Jenkins brought a male perspective as co-host.
For centuries, musical sounds have been used to educate, empower, and elevate Soulciety in the past and we believe they can connect us as we continue to bridge gaps across the African Diaspora. Therefore, we combine these dialogues with what we like to call revolving sounds. We feel it is important to expose and re-expose listeners to a variety of what some consider classic Hip-hop. As we clear a path for artist holdin' it up for the modern age.
